LOST PROPERTY: I-PHONE

14 05 2012

A member of the public found an I-PHONE outside of the Rec Centre tonight. Upon handing the i-phone into the Rec Centre reception staff, the staff believed the phone belonged to a PSC member as someone had been inquiring about it.  If the I-phone belongs to you, contact Leanne des Landes 027 4248314.

McKenzie Kerr-Bell

13 05 2012
Sue went up to see Mckenzie yesterday.
She is now at Wilson home in takapuna, a specialist center for child stroke victims.
We were delighted to see her looking so well and absolutely determined to get better. Her short term goal is to walk again.
Mckenzie is talking now, she sometimes forgets things, but she knew who I was and remembered swimming at my house and at the rec center, her spirit is lively and she was a feisty teenager…
She was practicing standing for 1 min at a time and learning to balance and put weight on her right leg. She is still trying to move her right arm.
She has done amazingly well in the 4 weeks since her stroke, and I’m  sure she will see much more improvement in the next 4 weeks. At this stage the family are unsure how long Mckenzie will be at Wilson house – possibly 6 months.
She was delighted to meet Melissa Ingram the other day who set her a challenge for when she gets home…very exciting
She has amazing parents who are determined to help Mckenzie in her rehabilitation and my heart goes out to Helen and Mick, whose life changed in a flash. They are amazing, and we were lucky to see them all in action at the home, yes brother Caide is doing a great job too.
The family expressed their thanks to everyone that has helped, and sent best wishes.
I will keep you updated on her progress, and thanks again to everyone.
Sue
